Having already written a birthday tribute in honour of Mr. Peter Obi, whose birthday coincides with today, it is only fitting that I dedicate this reflection specifically to my dear friend and brother, Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh.
As I sat down to write this message, a curious thought came to mind – the meeting of two meteors.
The vastness of space makes the meeting of two meteors an exceedingly rare occurrence. They travel through the heavens on different paths, often separated by unimaginable distances. Yet, in a symbolic sense, two “meteors” met through providence by being born on the same day, though different years – Mr. Peter Obi and Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh.
Such a coincidence is rare. It evokes thoughts of extraordinary destinies, remarkable achievements, inevitable challenges, and fruitful collaborations that, by God’s grace, will ultimately culminate in lasting glory.
Over the years, both men have, in their different ways, demonstrated an abiding love for humanity and a commitment to the development of our society. Their friendship and shared aspirations for a better Nigeria have continued to inspire many.
Today, however, my focus is on Senator Victor Umeh. Through years of public service, he has distinguished himself by courage, resilience, and steadfast commitment to the people he represents. His consistency, loyalty to worthy causes, and willingness to stand firm in the face of adversity have earned him the respect of friends and political opponents alike.
As you celebrate another year, Distinguished Senator, I pray that Almighty God grants you good health, greater wisdom, renewed strength, and many more years of impactful service to Anambra State and our beloved nation. May your best years still lie ahead, and may your life continue to be a blessing to all who encounter you.
Happy Birthday, Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh. May God continue to order your steps and crown your efforts with enduring success and fulfilment.
