ONITSHA — Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has stated that the warnings issued by the late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu regarding Nigeria’s structural challenges remain relevant as the nation marks 66 years of independence.
In a statement issued on Wednesday through MASSOB’s National Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, Uwazuruike argued that persistent governance and security challenges stem from unresolved structural flaws dating back to the 1914 amalgamation.
Uwazuruike asserted that sustainable economic progress and stability require addressing deep-seated regional grievances. He reiterated MASSOB’s longstanding stance advocating for peaceful self-determination and structural realignment through non-violent engagement.
