23 years after entering Nigeria’s tech market, Obejor Group rolls out ObejorDev e-solutions, multi-currency payments and wholesale-retail shopping in one portal
Lagos — Obejor Computers Ltd has officially entered Nigeria’s fiercely competitive e-commerce ring — and it is not coming quietly.
In a landmark, well-attended ceremony on Friday 9 October 2026, the company unveiled its new e-commerce portal to the Nigerian public at its corporate headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos. The event drew industry leaders, stakeholders, dignitaries and loyal customers from all walks of life.
At the centre of the launch was the company’s budding e-commerce platform, which Mr Ndubuisi Okechukwu Obed, the Chief Executive Officer, said would revolutionise online shopping and after-sales services. He demonstrated how it would deliver seamless transactions and real-time assistance to customers nationwide, with both online and offline sales and services.
According to Mr Obed, the platform integrates AI assistants, bulk and single-selling options, and supports both wholesale and retail business models. It also features official stores for regional manufacturers, entrepreneurs and individuals, as well as Buy Now, Pay Later and multiple African currencies as payment options.
“The unveiling is aimed at creating awareness and educating users about its highly dynamic and robust features,” he said, noting that the platform stands out in the highly competitive e-commerce and IT industry.
The Obejor Group also used the occasion to present and demonstrate a range of e-solutions developed by ObejorDev, its e-solutions subsidiary. These include School Management Solutions, Hospital Management Solutions and POS Management Systems for businesses.
Mr Obed explained that the POS system is equipped with advanced features such as balance sheets and opening balances, designed to facilitate swift and secure business operations. He added that the platform uses end-to-end encryption to address cyber-security concerns, protecting data from device level to server level.
Reflecting on the company’s 23-year journey, he attributed its successes to expertise and a commitment to delivering top-tier laptops, PCs, telephones, communication gadgets, accessories, equipment and related solutions.
He also spoke on the values that drive long-term business success.
“Trust and good conduct are the foundations of long-term business continuity and good supplier relationships,” he said. “Integrity, even during financial difficulties, is essential for building lasting professional connections.”
Mr Obed advised younger Nigerians to pursue their passions and remain committed to achieving success in their respective fields. He encouraged entrepreneurs to remain resilient despite government policies and economic challenges in Nigeria, while expressing a desire for greater government support through reduced taxes, improved infrastructure and a reliable power supply to help lower the cost of doing business.
Prominent figures in attendance also shared glowing remarks about Obejor Computers’ impact on Nigeria’s technology industry.
