Peter Okoye Condemns X User Who Criticised His Birthday Change As Disgrace To Igbo People

Nigerian singer and dancer Peter Okoye has condemned an X user who criticised his change of birthday as a disgrace to Igbo people.

The user claimed that ten years ago, he had honoured the singer’s late father by bringing a group of oil and gas expatriates to Squareville for an unplanned condolence visit.

He said he felt the unity and love between Peter and Paul back then, and to see Peter behaving in this way over his birthday change is a great shame to Igbo people, who selflessly contributed to the stability of the Psquare brand.

“Yes, I am heartbroken. Almost ten years ago, I honoured your late father by bringing a group of oil and gas expatriates to Squareville for an unplanned condolence visit.

“I remember how honoured you and your brother felt. I made sure you got their business cards and left the rest to destiny.

I felt the unity and love between you and your brother back then. To see you stoop so low with this birthday thing is a great shame to Igbo people who selflessly contributed to the stability of the Psquare brand. Even if you were cheated financially, when did family become less important than money?

I have never been concerned with your family matters, but this birthday stunt you’ve pulled is a line crossed too far. You have no clue the shame it brings to the sanctity and cultural roots of Igbo people. I’ll say no more until we meet again.”

Responding to the rant, Peter told him to get away from his timeline and blocked him.
