The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced it will host a book reading session with renowned leadership expert and former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

The event, the fourth edition of the NCDMB’s Quarterly Book Reading Programme, will be held at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa. It will focus on Dr. Peterside’s acclaimed book, “Leading in a Storm,” which offers practical guidance on navigating leadership challenges during times of uncertainty and change.

According to a press statement released by NCDMB’s General Manager of Corporate Communications, Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, the programme is a key component of the Board’s commitment to fostering literacy, critical thinking, and knowledge exchange.

Launched in August 2014, the series aims to promote human capital development beyond the oil and gas sector.

“This programme seeks to encourage learning, innovation, and value-driven leadership,” stated Dr. Ezeobi.

“We view these engagements as critical to building a knowledge-based society and strengthening the capacity of individuals to respond effectively to evolving economic and institutional challenges.”

The session will include a reading from the book, an interactive Q&A with Dr. Peterside, and a book signing. The NCDMB anticipates a diverse audience including professionals from the oil and gas industry, academia, government, students, media representatives, and the general public.
