Pineleaf Estates Creates History, Launches Housing Scheme For Civil Servants In Igboland

By Uzo Ugwunze

Pineleaf Estates Homes and Properties Ltd has made history as the CEO, Archbishop Dr. Onyeka Nzekwesi (Chinakalibeya), unveiled the Civil/Public Servants Housing Scheme, aimed at providing affordable housing for salary earners across the entire South East and South South regions of Nigeria.

While unveiling the first phase of the Civil Servants Housing Scheme at Stanel Dome, Awka, Anambra State, the Pineleaf CEO stressed that every civil and public servant deserves a home, adding that business owners with a steady income can also benefit from the subsidised housing scheme.

Archbishop Nzekwesi stated that it was God’s inspiration that motivated him to provide homes for the homeless, starting with civil and public servants in Anambra State.

“Today, Pineleaf is going to rewrite history. We are going to make the impossible possible. It is achievable with the sons and daughters of God.

“This vision for the housing scheme was not man-made; it is 100 percent spiritual. We had been selling three-bedroom houses at Obodoma Estate for 55 million naira, and one fateful day after prayer, God made it clear that there was a need to provide homes for those who are homeless.

“I pondered where to start, as I did not want to initiate a new project. I decided to begin at a location where we already had structures in place. Hence, I chose Obodoma and Bishop Court, which was later approved by the directors, management, and stakeholders of Pineleaf Estates Homes and Properties.

“Know this: the homes we are offering are not low-cost houses, but we have made them affordable for you. The current cost of completing everything for a three-bedroom bungalow at that site is 95 million naira, but we are offering it at the rate of 27 million naira.

“We opted to build our estate homes in the South East and South South geo-political zones because the Igbo people value land more than people from Northern or Western Nigeria, making land acquisition more difficult in Igboland compared to other parts of the country. However, Pineleaf aims to make this process less challenging.

“Here’s how it works: Pay a down payment of 20 percent of the cost of the specific house you desire and move in immediately. The remaining 80 percent will be spread over a few years and deducted from your salary. This is a ‘live and pay’ system; you don’t have to wait until you have fully paid before moving in.

“Additionally, we have building projects and a Civil Servants Housing Scheme for Imo (Millennial Estates Homes, Ogbakuba) and Enugu (Opuruiche Estate Home, 9th Mile), which will be unveiled by the second week of May 2026.

“In Port Harcourt, we are looking for a location that allows civil servants easy access to the city.

“I firmly believe in ‘Akulueuno’. While we have received land offers from Abuja and Lagos inviting us to build there, we have reserved this scheme for the 11 states within the South East and South South. Those in the diaspora can return to purchase, as we will not build estate homes outside these regions.

“At Obodoma Estate Homes, we have good access roads into Awka city. Plans have been made to enhance security in the area, with CCTV cameras already mounted strategically. Steady electricity is assured, and the estate will feature central water supply and sewage systems.

“First occupants will truly enjoy the benefits of living there. I have already selected one of the houses, as I will reside at Obodoma Estate alongside the civil servants.

“This is not a standard housing scheme. I confidently state that the Pineleaf housing scheme is superior to that of the Federal Government of Nigeria by 100 percent. We have reduced the cost of constructing such buildings while still providing you with a soft landing.

“Please note that after the first 200 applicants, we will cease this offer and revert to the actual costs of the buildings.

“Do not be among those who will later regret missing this opportunity. A time will come when, even at five times the current price, these homes may not be available.

“Take note: this Civil/Public Servants Housing Scheme is divine; the hand of God is in it, and without this, it would not be possible.

“If you do not believe in God, believe in God for this purpose. He is about to reward you. I do not know how long you have been dreaming of having the perfect home, but we are offering you quality at an affordable rate. Please fill out the interest form to show your readiness,” said Nzekwesi.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Chief Marketing Officer of Pineleaf Estates and Properties Ltd, Dr. Michael Ugwu, narrated the struggles of many civil servants who invest their productive years in service, only to retire without a home to call their own.

“A rescue mission has come from Pineleaf Estates Homes and Properties. The CEO, Archbishop Dr. Onyeka Nzekwesi, a man with a big heart, has brought a solution to remedy this seemingly shameful situation,” said Ugwu.

Additionally, Archbishop Don Ifepe, in his keynote address, urged the civil servants present to seize this opportunity to secure a subsidised home—something no previous government administration in Anambra State or even the Federal Government of Nigeria has achieved. “Be determined; proclaim that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Do not allow any obstacles to hinder you from realising your dream. You do not need to know anything about real estate; just believe, and God will make it possible for you to become a homeowner,” said Archbishop Ifepe.
