Emmanuel Obasi, the ex-husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin, has publicly criticised her.
The actress’s former husband shared a throwback photograph of the pair on his Facebook page, seemingly in response to her Easter celebrations.
His accompanying post read: “Yuliana Iscariot and JuJu Iscariot thought that after the Reggae they’d play the Blues – how wrong they were. Bro. J. starts with prayer and ends with prayer.
They started with Reggae, we’ll finish with Reggae; the Blues are for you now. I learn from Bro. J., our Saviour. Happy Easter, everyone #fyp.”
Last year, Emmanuel spoke publicly about his custody battle with Judy.
He expressed distress at being denied access to his children for over a decade, and alleged that he had legally married Judy Austin and had three children with her.
However, he hasn’t seen them since their separation, and she subsequently married Yul Edochie.
In 2024, Obasi claimed that Yul was having an affair with Judy while she was still married to him, and that she moved in with him to her family’s home. Obasi revealed that Judy’s family openly welcomed the actor despite her marital status.
In a further video, Obasi appealed to the Nigerian public for help with gaining custody of his children. He claimed he hadn’t seen them in over ten years and that Judy was deliberately obstructing his access to them, knowing how much he loved them.
He also claimed that Judy had prioritised her children over Yul, leaving him concerned about the well-being and upbringing of his own children.
Recall that in 2022, Mr Obasi revealed he married Judy at the age of 29, when she was 19, and they had two children together. He disclosed that he had financially supported Judy through her degree, yet she left him for Yul, with whom she began an affair in 2012 while still married to him.
He further claimed that Judy left their home with the children after he refused to buy her a house in Enugu. Despite reporting the incident to her parents, they took no action, and Judy has since cut off all contact with him and their children.
It is well known that Judy Austin came to public attention following her affair and subsequent marriage to Yul Edochie, who was already married to May Edochie, the mother of his four children.
Their affair led to the breakdown of Yul’s marriage, with his estranged wife filing for divorce and demanding N100 million in damages from Judy.
