The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated a national reconciliation committee tasked with meeting all aspirants across the country and resolving outstanding disputes arising from the party’s primaries.
In a statement signed by the National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses, and the National Secretary, Mr Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, the party announced the formation of a seven-man committee chaired by renowned political economist, Professor Pat Utomi, with Engineer Buba Galadima as co-chairman.
Other members of the committee are Mohammed Sanni Takori (Vice Chairman), Babatunde Alli (Secretary), Mrs Dudu Mamman Manuga, Hon. Salvador Adegoke Moshood and Alhaji Haruna Pai.
In addition, three sub-committees have been established for the North, South-South and South-East geo-political zones to ensure a comprehensive and regionally grounded reconciliation process.
The committee is due to be formally inaugurated at the party’s secretariat at 12 noon on Thursday, 6th August, 2026.
