ABUJA — International medical humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF / Doctors Without Borders) has marked 30 years of providing emergency medical assistance in Nigeria.
Since establishing its mission in the country in 1996, MSF has delivered medical aid to millions of people affected by disease outbreaks, armed conflict, displacement, and healthcare deficits.
Reflecting on the milestone, MSF stated that its three-decade presence underscores a sustained commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and working alongside Nigerian healthcare professionals to respond to health emergencies.
“Access to healthcare should not be determined by privilege or circumstance,” the organisation noted in a statement marking the anniversary, reaffirming its dedication to providing medical care wherever it is needed most across Nigeria.
